The titles of Preparations I-VI (2006) are drawn from The Wonderful Forms of Different Nations, Book 7 Chapter 2 of Pliny the Elder's Historia Naturalis. Each image constitutes an episode from an occluded history of communist friendship, reimagined as a confederacy of monstrous angelhood. In its entirety, the series constitutes a redreaming of political alignment and elective affinity.
